Happy Cows Come from California

So the commercial says, but today's news says that Happy Scientist don't come from California but Wisconsin.

Alta Charo, professor of law and bioethics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, who spent last year as a visiting professor at the University of California, Berkeley (Go Bears!) stated, "Sometimes it's good to be small, small enough to facilitate real collaboration. Great research comes from happy scientists."

Charo was encouraging her colleagues in Wisconsin not to covet the $3 billion dollars of state funding in California, and not to drool over the big institutions in biotechnology out west, but to remind them that Wisconsin has done much better than it should have and hasn't been embroiled in legal challenges over doing human cloning research.
