Thank You New Jersey

Voters Defeat Stem Cell Measure

Imagine my excitement when I woke this morning to that headline in my inbox. New Jersey voters have spoken and said, "No thank you" to borrowing $450 MILLION dollars for stem cell research. New Jersey governor, Jon Corzine, was so behind the passing of this awful ballot measure, that he ponied up $150,000 of his own money to help get it passed. NOT. The vote was 53-47, dealing a sharp blow to stem cell/cloning research enthusiasts.

Sadly (!) those in favor of the measure, were so confident of its passage, they arrogantly held a groundbreaking ceremony two weeks ago for the new stem cell research facility.
